The device, built on a Raspberry Pi with custom software by CodeCalculated, can connect to nearby Bluetooth devices, pull data and send it to the Cloud in real time using a series of NodeJS services.
The software utilizes the built in Linux operating system to provide diagnostics, network information and to allow it to be configured from a client over the air.
Using a secure, encrypted process, the device is also capable of updating its own firmware, similar to what you might see with other Internet of Things devices.
The devices are customized specifically for the client's line of business and are currently in use at facilities for one of the top 10 automobile manufacturers in the world.
